Aura Kajas is a Finnish artist living and working in Finland and Italy. She has studied Arts and Jewellery both in Finland and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Kajas works with ceramic sculpture, drawing and collage combining a variety of mixed media and techniques.

Nature plays a fundamental role in her sculptures. Her work is connected to the natural world through process, material and concern for our planet. In her art Kajas draws upon indigenous cultures, mythology and the myriad of forms found in the animal kingdom.

All Aura’s ceramic sculptures are handbuilt unique pieces in earthenware, stoneware or porcelain.
